Welcome to Reserve Cypres Reminder Screensaver

Welcome to Reserve Cypres Reminder Screensaver, by Kennene Productions. This screensaver was designed with the "real" skydiver at heart. Having your reserve go out of date without you remembering it can be very frustrating when you show up at the DZ on a beautiful day, only to find yourself scrambling like mad to find a rigger that can pack your reserve in a hurry so you can get on a few loads. We built this screensaver to be as unobtrusive as possible, while providing a constant reminder for your time left before a repack is due. As an extra feature, it also tracks your Cypres service dates for you.

To Get Started
Double click the "Reserve Cypres Reminder Setup" file to begin installation. It will prompt you for a location to install to. Just install it to the default location. After it installs it will automatically open the "Display Properties" window for the screensaver. Click the "Settings" button to open the settings window. Here is where you will type in the date of your last reserve repack and the date of your last Cypres service, then click the "Save" button...this is very important. If you do not click the "Save" button, the screensaver will not show the correct time remaining.

Design Notes
This screensaver was built in a Flash 6 environment with Actionscript 1.0. It comes prepackaged with the Flash 6 Player which will only install if needed. The way this works is the settings window allows you to store Flash variables on your computer (similar to that of "cookies") that the screensaver can recall when it runs. It takes up generally less than 10k space to store the files.

Resources
If you should have any issues with the countdown date being incorrect, it is usually due to the Flash player settings not allowing file storage. You can adjust your player settings HERE.
